Fuchka is a popular dish across Bangladesh and India. Fuchka is known by different names. Like panipuri, gol goppa, goop chup, etc., it is a popular street food in South Asia.

But in Bangladesh it is better known as Fuchka. Be it Fuchka or Panipuri; There are few people whose tongue doesn't water when they hear the name.

This delicious and popular fuchka is made with flour.

Then the fulko puri is filled with potatoes, chili, onions, boiled chickpeas, spices and other things and dipped in tamarind sour water and eaten.

Usually, phuchka lovers eat it from chatpatti-phuchka shops, but today, if you want, you can make phuchka and tamarind sour with its filling at home.

So now check out the simple recipe-

Materials For making fuchka

  • Flour 1/4 cup
  • cup of semolina
  • Oil and water in quantity
  • 1 tablespoon of palm butter
  • Half a teaspoon of salt.

For filling Fuchka

  • Boiled double chickpeas/peas ½ cup
  • One cup of boiled potatoes
  • 1 boiled egg
  • Chopped onion 2-3 tbsp
  • Chop coriander leaves
  • Chopped green chillies
  • salt
  • Bit of salt
  • Chaat Masala
  • Tala dry chili and
  • Tala cumin powder to taste.

Method of making fuchka

Mix the ingredients for making fuchka well and make dough. The dough will not be too hard or too soft. Cover with wet tissue for 10 minutes. Now divide the dough into few parts and roll it into a round like a thick bread.

Now deep fry in oil until brown. Mix all the ingredients for the filling and make a hole in the middle of the puff, fill it with filling and serve with tamarind sour cream.

Method of Making Tamarind Sour

Make a decoction by soaking some tamarind in a cup of water. Now mix it with salt to taste, beet salt, sugar, lemon peel, lemon juice, roasted cumin powder and chili powder.
